The Manga of Ryuusuke Mita

Introduction

Ryuusuke Mita may not be a very well-known name outside of Japan, but the anime based on one of his manga has been very well-received. Most western fans are familiar with Dragon Half, the two-part OAV that has been commercially translated by ???. Some fans may also have actually read the manga that had been serialized in Dragon magazine up until the Spring of 1994, when the series ended. However, very few people are aware of the follow-up series that Mita created for Comic Dragon -- Dark Hair Captured.

I had created a character guide for Dragon Half, and had summarized some of the manga chapters. In January 1997, I did the same for Dark Hair Captured. And, because of the growing number of files associated with Mita, I gave him his own page on my web site.

If you liked Dragon Half, I hope that you find this page useful. As always, I am happy to give credit to anyone that can help me add information to these pages.
