The Manga of Akihiro Itoh
Introduction
Akihiro Itoh may not be well-known in Japan, much less in America. I
aim to change that.
Although I have no proof, I am inclined to believe that Itoh used to
draw etchi manga under the pseudonym Bren 303. I only have a few
issues of the old Cream Lemon magazine, with two short stories of his
(one one-shot, and one 4-part series.) Under his own name, Itoh has
published 3 different titles, two of which are still on-going.
Itoh's art style is very clean and crisp, with semi-realistic looking
humans and HIGHLY detailed backgrounds. Itoh loves drawing weapons, and
most of his stories are action-packed adventures. He also has a
well-developed sense of imagination, and his action lay-outs are
incredibly dynamic (more so than Akira Toriyama's fight sequences.)
I had translated the dialog for the Bren 303 stories, and because of the
growing number of files associated with Itoh, I am giving him his own
page on my web site.
I hope that you find Itoh's stories worth the money, and worth the
effort of tracking down and buying. As always, I am happy to give
credit to anyone that can help me add information to these
pages.

Who is Akihiro Itoh?
Good question. I haven't been able to find any information on him.
But, his art style is almost exactly the same as the etchi artist Bren
303. One person -- Dan Kanemitsu -- claims to know Bren 303 at
least, but he has never provided any proof of this. I tried writing to
Itoh care of his publisher, but received no reply.
Bren 303 has been published in the old Cream Lemon magazine, primarily
concentrating on hard core sex stories interwoven with some kind of plot
line.
Itoh's work has appeared in several adult manga magazines. Three titles
that I know of have been collected into volumes: LAWMAN,
Geobreeders, and Belle Starr. There was a rumor that the
Bren 303 short stories had also been republished under one cover, but I
haven't been able to locate a copy yet.
